Spyne alternative for small dealers

Spyne sells to dealer groups through a discovery call with no public prices. What to look at if you run a smaller lot and want clean background photos without a contract.

Spyne is built for dealer groups. Its pricing page lists photo backgrounds, 360 tours, walkaround videos, window stickers, campaigns and DMS integration, and the only way to get a price is to book a discovery call. That suits a group that wants one vendor for all of it. A lot moving 20 or 50 cars a month that mainly wants the cars on a clean background usually doesn't need the rest.

LotReady is one of the tools that does only that part. We make it, so read this with that in mind.

What happens to the car

Ask any tool you test whether the car itself gets redrawn. Some tools run the whole photo through an image generator. The car comes back in the same spot, but parts of it shift and bend by a few pixels, and the paint can come out glossier than the real thing. A buyer notices that on the lot.

LotReady cuts the car out of your photo and puts it on the new background, so the car is the one you shot. AI Enhance is an optional setting that sharpens fine detail, and it can redraw that detail, so compare an enhanced photo with its original. It's off by default.

To check any tool yourself, put the original and the result at the same size in a before/after slider and drag across. On a redrawn photo you'll see parts of the car drifting. In the Porsche below, the windshield sticker, the reflections and the wheel spokes line up with the original.

What it costs per photo

A photo uses 2 credits at 1K, 3 at 2K and 4 at 4K. The $9 Solo plan has 100 credits, enough for 25 to 50 photos. Across the plans and sizes that works out to about $0.13 to $0.36 a photo. The full table is on the pricing page.

When Spyne is the better fit

If you want 360 tours, walkaround videos and inventory syncing from one vendor across several rooftops, Spyne covers more of that than LotReady does. LotReady doesn't make videos or 360 spins, and it doesn't plug into your DMS.

If what you want is the car on a clean background, at a price you can see before you talk to anyone, try LotReady on a few of your own photos first. The 10 free credits cover a couple of cars.
